Friday starts… here

…so does next Friday!

How the fire started

For over 27 years Simone and I have shared a passion for food. As life long Alaskans, our pizza journey has been a huge part of that passion. In Alaska there’s very little to do in winter besides cooking and eating.

It all began with friends and family gathered around good food, long before operating a restaurant and catering company. As former youth ministers, we dished up pizza for teens from Alaska to Georgia. After six years as a Correctional Officer for the State of Alaska and Simone’s graduation from nursing school we decided to become restauranteurs. December of 2011, in Palmer, Alaska, Humdinger’s Gourmet Pizza Co. was born.

We recently moved to Ohio, January 2020 and closed the Alaska restaurant January of 2022. What was once a staple in the little, agricultural town of Palmer, Alaska is now available in rural Ohio. We were voted best pizza in our area 2014-2021 and hope to capture the hearts and tastebuds of our fellow Buckeyes.

How this works

Now that we live in Ohio and our Alaska shop is closed, we decided to offer the same excellent pizza to rural Ohio through a different method, take and bake. This model, while smaller in scope, will supply a much needed service to our rural neighbors.

Say goodbye to the long, car ride home, the temptation of a hot fresh pizza sitting in the passenger seat. Say goodbye to soggy, expensive, lukewarm, delivered pizza. Say hello to Humdinger’s Gourmet Grab and Go.
